Introduced for the first time this year, the award recognises initiatives that meaningfully enhance how pension scheme members engage with their retirement savings, investment choices, and long-term planning. It celebrates innovation in communication, education, and digital experience - all areas central to our mission at Money Alive.
At the heart of the winning entry is Heywood’s Video Engage solution, powered by Money Alive’s Video Canvas technology. By bringing together our interactive, personalised video platform with Heywood’s strong track record in member communications, Video Engage is reshaping how schemes explain complex pension information.
The judges praised the solution for its ability to turn traditionally dense, technical content into clear, engaging experiences that help members better understand their benefits and make more confident financial decisions. The award also reflects the successful rollout of enhanced video experiences across schemes such as the North East Scotland Pension Fund, Gwynedd Pension Fund, and the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Pension Fund, all benefiting from the power of our combined technologies.
This joint recognition marks our second major industry win of 2025 jointly with Heywood. Earlier this year we won Technology Provider of the Year award at the 2025 European Pensions Awards.
Andy Kirby, CEO of Money Alive, said:
“We’re thrilled to win this award alongside Heywood. Bringing together our Video Canvas technology with their deep expertise in member communications is helping schemes deliver truly meaningful, personalised experiences. Together, we’re raising the bar for pension engagement and member understanding.”
Sian Jones, CEO of Heywood, commented:
“We’re absolutely delighted to be recognised for the impact we’re making on member engagement and retirement planning. Video Engage is a great example of how technology and creativity can work together to make pensions more accessible and engaging. Our collaboration with Money Alive continues to drive innovation and help people make better decisions about their financial futures.”
This latest award is another milestone in Money Alive and Heywood’s shared mission to transform the pensions landscape through data-driven insight, creative communication, and member first digital experiences. We look forward to continuing our partnership and expanding the impact we bring to schemes and their members.
